Environmental audits

The Jersey Royal Company and all contract growers are audited against certain customer and industry standards.

The main industry standard used is the Assured Produce Scheme in the UK. In addition to this the company is also audited by individual retailers, who have their own specific requirements.

The Jersey Royal Company holds LEAF Marque accreditation. LEAF (Linking Environment and Farming) is a charitable organisation which promotes environmental awareness within the agriculture sector and has initiated a number of profitable working demonstration farms across the UK.

Jersey Royal operates a quality assurance system which ensures that the products produced are of the highest food safety and food quality. A full traceability system is in operation allowing each unit produced to be traced back to the fields of origin.

All potatoes are packed centrally at Peacock Farm that is audited to British Retail Consortium standards by SAI Global.

In addition, the area of the packhouse used for organics is annually audited by the Soil Association.
