Spreader testing

The spreaders are tested to make sure that they are spreading evenly across the 18m bout width.

Whilst we place all fertiliser when planting 30 inch rows, we still need to broadcast fertiliser for 20 inch rows or where we plant using automatic planters.

Each year we have to get the fertilisers spreaders checked to make sure that they are spreading evenly.

The test is done against the specific density and granule size of the fertiliser that is used.

Following each test there is a written print out to show the accuracy of the spread pattern.
